Spirit Airlines has announced an expansion of its services to the near Atlantic City airport, offering non-stop flights from Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) to Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) throughout the summer. According to reports, nearly 2,000 passengers used the service in December when it operated for only half of the month. While Spirit Airlines' spokeswoman, Nicole Aguiar, declined to provide specific figures on seat occupancy, she did note that Palm Beach guests continue to show a strong interest in the route. The airline's decision to continue service into the summer is likely driven by robust bookings.

The Atlantic City service has traditionally been seasonal, with Spirit offering flights only during the winter months. However, this year's bookings were strong enough to justify extending the service through the warmer months. In January, 3,815 passengers flew to Atlantic City, representing a 28% increase over the same month last year.
